Here is some good news for those in Uttarakhand who are interested in pursuing courses in different aspects of film making. Pune based Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will be holding an admission seminar in Dehradun for the benefit of those planning to take the forthcoming Joint Entrance Test (JET) for admissions to Film and Television Institute of India and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) Kolkata. Both institutions are under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
The seminar will address various aspects related to the Joint Entrance Test, admission process, and other subjects related to the two famous film institutes. Organized jointly by FTII and Uttarakhand Film Development Council (UFDC), the workshop will be conducted by FTII director Bhupendra Kainthola and film director Shalini Shah on January 19 in Dehradun.
The FTII has so far conducted similar seminars at Pune, Mumbai, Jaipur, Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Nagpur, and Delhi. Admission seminars will be conducted at Lucknow, Jammu, Bhopal, Patna, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh soon.
Candidates desirous of seeking admission to FTII and SRFTI need to go through a multi-stage selection process. The first stage in this selection process is the All India level written examination called Joint Entrance Test which would be held on February 24, 2019.
